Fountaine Pajot builds the hulls of its catamarans using the vacuum infusion process with a balsa wood core, all in a single continuous mold. In the wave, the Lucia 40.3 "Idefix" in Punat/ Croatia therefore moves very stiffly with little noticeable twisting. The deck, superstructure and fixed bimini roof are manufactured as individual parts using a complex, double-shell vacuum injection process, which results in beautiful, homogeneous surfaces on both sides and makes additional inner shells unnecessary.
